Hi, I'm Ed. I got here via a backlink from a video of one of my projects. One doesn't need to be invited to join, right? You can see the development history of the project here. I don't really have anything else online at the moment, except a twitter feed with not-much happening on it. I'm a game developer who has found himself making a notgame. If it ever gets any game... um "interaction" mechanics, I guess I can rest easy again

Cool cool. I really like the 3D world of pixels In the description of the video you wrote that it is not only explorable but also survivable game (or notgame). I get the exploration but what do you plan to be the survival part of the (not)game? EDIT: And Hello! (oh dear, my manners are making friends with bums now!)

Hello! I've been thoroughly enjoying reading through some of the discussions here, I like how you guys think Cool cool. I really like the 3D world of pixels In the description of the video you wrote that it is not only explorable but also survivable game (or notgame). I get the exploration but what do you plan to be the survival part of the (not)game? Thanks! Well, the survival stuff is only partly implemented so far. The idea to is to provide some pacing to the exploration (you would gather food, rest, etc) and also to increase the feeling of "situatedness" in the world, taking inspiration from real survival/bushcraft. You know, living off the land, having a relationship with nature, that sort of thing.

Wow. It sounds very, very interesting. Bushcraft but especially connection between man and nature interest me. Please keep us up-to-date with your project!

I hope it works! Updates when they happen will probably be on the TIGS thread and twitter... or at least, if they aren't they'll be something in those places saying where they are (like if I ever get round to setting up a site)

Would be splendid if you could keep as up-to-date here Fair enough Where should I post updates? In this thread? Or make a new one in some other area? It would probably only be a temporary thing anyway as I really should get on with setting up a site/blog at some point... @Victor - Thanks, I will do some research into that!

It seems like that would be the appropriate place for it: http://notgames.org/forum/index.php?board=6.0^_^

Welcome Ed I really enjoyed seeing Proteus/Nodeland a while back. I hope you continue work on it. And it will be great to have you in some of these discussions, too.

Hey, just a small bump here to say this project is back on track and acquiring a new dynamic/reactive music system to go with the exploration. I'll make a proper thread when there's more to see...
