While browsing through this forum I immediately remembered a game I was playing a few years ago: Stoked Rider

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-kCFeAP2Bk

It is an interactive snowboard experience where you can fly with your helicopter everywhere you want to start your ride. The focus is on exploring the mountains and interacting with them. There are no highscores, combos or time limits. For me paying Stoked Riders was like a vacation.

The same team did also Stoked for Xbox 360, but Stoked is a more traditional game.

Interesting. Was it really just about flying around and finding a hill to slide off of? Genius! Why don't developers make such simple things more often? (answer: because gamers are still too stuck in linear media that they need to be led around all the time?)

Seems simple yet effective. The only problem with this game seem to me to be that the environments are so similar (snow, snow and more snow), but perhaps when you snowboard on them they feels very different.

Would be fun to see this try out with cycling, basejumping, handgliding and stuff. Some day Google Earth will perhaps have such a good data set that one could just use that for enviroment Tongue Would be neat!
