Much like the Stanley Parable, suddenly coming out of the blue for me - I am aiming to try it soon as well.

It looks pretty. But do you need to have Crysis to run this?

It looks interesting, but steam tells me that crysis would take 1 day and 6 hours to download, so I may have to wait until I have access to faster internet.

I played the first part - it has quite a Dear Esther feel, despite what Rock Paper Shotgun said. I am not sure the writing is getting to me, however. It does not feel the writing or voice acting are completely up to the standard or self-assuredness the other aspects seem to have. I enjoyed what I read of Lovecraft, so it is not just the style. There are some interesting moments which make you more part of the environment 'in the present'. Somehow the game reminded me of some of the Myst games, with the diaries and the walking.
I am happy to
see
a game like this, however. I do wish to play see more 'walkabout' games.
