As I understand it, you basically just frame a web page in there. So you could probably even do 3D Unity games on Facebook.
There are two approaches. One is simply framing a webpage. The other is a bit more advanced.

I must say I have been thinking for a while to do a 'invite your friends to a Dinner Date' (viral advertisement) feature on Facebook.

It mostly I whether I can uphold my own quality demands while doing a Facebook thing. I mean, "Jeroen D. Stout is waiting for a Dinner Date tonight... do you think she'll come?" is a snappy one-liner that applies to my game, but whether it really is as high-brow as I want it to be is a second.

I have been reading the Path's Gamasutra article and I do want to put some major effort in PR, because as I understand it that is how 'indie' games cause a major interest or just fail to be noticed.

Not only are there already Unity games on Facebook, but someone in the forum has already created a library you can use to integrate a Unity game with Facebook. Smiley
