Hello,
I'm an artist working in new media, often in interactive installations, and sometimes using game as a format, which I think has an amazing potential as artistic expression, regardless whether it's a 'game' or 'notgame', mostly because interactivity is so primal and basic.  I have not been exposed to a whole lot of game theory so it's interesting to see how hard the 'notgames' have to try to separate themselves from the mainstream idea of games.

I recently completed a permanent interactive installation built in a game engine:  http://www.flightphase.com/peopleInBoats/.
My other projects include interactive public projections: http://www.gravitytrap.com/artwork/sniff

looking forward to all the interesting reading and conversations on this forum.

The "Sniff" one is very cute and would probably be fun to interact with. The "People In Boats" installation is spooky and beautiful. If I was watching this I would think it pretty damn freaky to have all the rowers stop and stare directly at me!

Welcome, Karolina!

Notgames is just an exercise to stimulate us to be more open-minded as designers and consider the wide spectrum of possibilities that the computer offers to enlighten and entertain. But I can see from your work that you hardly need the stimulation. This is probably because you build installations, as opposed to distributing software like most of us here.

Very nice work, by the way. Quite inspiring.
Funny: we had a very similar idea as your Sniff when we were working on Drama Princess (http://Tale-of-Tales.com/DramaPrincess): but our version would have had a little girl in a box, instead of a dog. :)
