: Let's make Art with Games: presentation slides : Michaël Samyn June 19, 2010, 10:50:48 PM I have posted the slides (http://tale-of-tales.com/tales/ArtWithGames/) of our presentation at the Festival of Games in Utrecht earlier this month.
This presentation was an attempt to address the "games as art" topic in a constructive manner. Rather than finding an answer to the question whether games can be art or not, we looked into how games can be art. Hope you enjoy it. (and that the slides make some sense out of context) (http://tale-of-tales.com/tales/ArtWithGames/images/ToT-FoG.036-003.jpg) (http://tale-of-tales.com/tales/ArtWithGames/) : Re: Let's make Art with Games: presentation slides : Thomas June 20, 2010, 03:03:37 AM I enjoyed quite a bit and really liked that you are being constructive.
There is a bunch of stuff (like the hierarchy in projects) that would be interesting to discuss more, but clock says 3:03 and brain sure feels like it. Gonna try and give some more productive comments tomorrow! : Re: Let's make Art with Games: presentation slides : vladdamad June 21, 2010, 06:42:24 PM Nice! : Re: Let's make Art with Games: presentation slides : Michaël Samyn June 22, 2010, 09:47:14 AM The first one is Guild Wars. Auriea and I have spent countless hours travelling together through its vast lands.
(until we hit the brick wall of a puzzle that we couldn't solve -same story as always) : Re: Let's make Art with Games: presentation slides : God at play September 02, 2010, 06:51:32 AM Nice work :)
It would have been nice to see a little more talk on exploring things outside of game rules, but you did a fine job (from what I can tell of the slides)! |
