: Hello! : Saleem December 12, 2012, 05:54:13 PM Hey everyone, my name is Saleem and I'm a Canadian immigrant from the Middle East. I've been trying to figure out what it means to express myself digitally and started learning to make games this year for the first time. I'm really interested in making both personal and political expressions and I guess my ultimate goal is to learn how to explore darker emotions through games. I'm really looking forward to participating in discussion here and growing as an artist!
I've started out with my first real project recently called Skipping Stones after the sudden loss of a friend - I have a hard time describing it, but it's a poetry/music toy where you create haunting and melancholy sounds while uncovering poems that tell a story about loss. I'll definitely post a thread about it because I would love some feedback from people who view these things as hopefully worthwhile (rather than the common reaction that I get of "what's the point?" or "where's the fun?")
